Nothing beneficial from having an addon wine at others for not playing the way you want. If you’re not enjoying WoW, stop paying $15 a month. Maybe it’s your entire life, but others have jobs, are married, etc, and like to relax sometimes. In the end, don’t forget WoW is supposed to be fun. I’ve used similar addons in the past during mythic raids that just shows “failures” in a separate window, but only with those who also have the addon. have EH show only yourself, or piggy-back off others with the addon. Secondly, any detail addon really needs to be designed with an opt-in system.

Big shocker, FF14 has a FAR more pleasant community to play with. Obviously you’re not giving your token to a toxic player. For those who don’t know, at the end of each pugged dungeon, you have one token you can give to whoever you want. In M+ total damage may be the case, but in raids, where there is no timer and trash is just for artifical extending run it doesn’t matter, there are still stituations where 30 of raid is afking setting themselves up for bosses when the rest is clearing trash. For starters, Blizzard really needs to implement the commendation system that FF14 has. Well, if you have most dps every fight your total dmg will be top also. Its these kinds of things why its getting harder and harder to find friendly people to just have fun and chill out with on WoW. No reason to bring toxicity to the community. Plenty of hardcore guilds exist for this purpose. If other people are “playing bad”, maybe its YOU who just needs to find other people like you to play with. This is despite the fact that, wait for it, I mostly play healer.

I’m also, wait for it, able to have fun with pugs and random people in the community. I can still be chill while having fun with friends. It’s a pleasant way to learn how I want and when I want, but I’m not harassing others. But they should ALWAYS be opt-in, ESPECIALLY for pugs. as you don’t pay my subscription, why should I be subject to you telling me how you demand I play? Addons like EH, Recount, Details, etc, are good tools when used properly. I get the impression that Blizzard isn’t a fan of an all-damage meta, and that trying to make modern WoW work in that way would require a lot of tweaks to the way raid and dungeon fights are designed that would take away some of the threat of things like scaling damage in Mythic Keystones or various groupwide AoEs designed into raid fights. Good things get toxic real fast when abused. Lots of people don’t like something pointing out their mistakes.
